The iPad is not only replacing my laptop but with two relatively new apps, it’s also replacing the need to bring papers with me. My job occasionally requires me to sign documents and send them into our office. PDF Expert allows me to interact with PDF files that have check boxes or other interactive features as if I was working on a laptop or desktop. The great feature is rather than printing and signing the document I can sign it right on my iPad and email to whoever needs it. I’m going to try and use this as a sign-in sheet for my trainings too! The down side is PDF Expert is 9.99 but it’s worth the money. Find PDF Expert here
If you want to sign PDF’s for free…as of the writing of the this post (11/9/2011) Softsign will allow you to simply sign PDFs and add some annotations. It doesn’t allow you to interact with forms and checkboxes like PDF Expert but it’s still pretty good..and it’s free! Find Softsign here

Taking notes on the iPad
0Using the iPad to do work is my favorite topic right now and taking notes with it is made a lot easier with a few apps!
This one is great if you are only concerned with writing on the iPad
This is a wonderful all around app for notes, pictures, writing and typing on the iPad. Right now it’s 3.99 but it goes on sale frequently, last week it was .99 There is a Paper Desk Light version that’s free and it can give you an idea of how well this might work for you.
I don’t have much experience with this one but it’s only .99 cents this week…it looks very comparable to Paper Desk but I don’t know. It has really good ratings and I’ve already purchased this, but I have not used it enough yet.
Great free or low cost apps! Act now!!
0Ok, I love to find deals on good apps and here are a couple that are reduced for a limited time. If you have and iPad grab them now!!
Penultimate is a great note taking application and at .99 it’s a steal.
GeoWalk HD World fact book is a great resource for kids!
My favorite part of iOS is working is taking and editing pictures, LightBox HD looks like a great free app!
