Who is Hoke?

Entering education in 1993, I have have used educational technology to meet the teaching and learning needs of educators in diverse settings.
My educational career began in the Yupiit School District(Alaska)
, where technology was integral to meeting the challenge of providing a quality education to Yup’ik Eskimo students in rural Alaskan villages. I was subsequently hired as Technology Coordinator for the Lake and Peninsula Borough (Alaska) School District, a 24,000 square mile school district located on the Alaska Peninsula and the Aleutian Chain, where remote schools were solely connected to one another by the Internet.
I responded to an opportunity to return to his family roots in Georgia in 2000 as Marion County School District’s Technology Coordinator.I was employed by the Marion County School District until joining the ETTC at CSU where I provided technical leadership and consultation to both local and state agencies.
I am one of the Information Technology Specialists at Kennesaw State University’s Educational Technology Training Center. Before joining KSU’s ETTC I served as the Director and Instructional Technology Specialist at Columbus State University’s ETTC.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi State University, Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University, Specialists degree from Kennesaw State University, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate and is currently working on and Educational Doctorate (EdD) in Education Technology at Kennesaw State.
